1. Arizona-Sonora Desert MuseumArizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a 98-acre world-renowned zoo, natural history museum, botanical garden, art gallery and aquarium, all in one place. The museum engages in many research and conservation projects relating to desert ecology and particularly to the Sonoran Desert. Among its many exhibits are a walk-in aviary, a cactus garden, a pollination garden and hummingbird aviary, and a demonstration of animal life underground. The Museum was founded in 1952. 85% of the Desert Museum is outdoors and primarily a walking experience. On the Desert Loop Trail you will have a rugged outdoor hiking experience. The loop is one half mile long, downhill and back up where you will encounter javelinas, coyotes and lizards in very naturalistic enclosures. The museum is home to more than 230 animal species and 1,200 varieties of plants. The aquarium houses two galleries: one highlighting the region's freshwater rivers and aquatic life and the other featuring the Sea of Cortez and representative sea life. Mt. Lemmon Scenic Byway is the only paved road that leads to the upper reaches of the Santa Catalina Range and is one of the most scenic highways in the southwest. There were lots of scenic viewpoints from which to see the vast valley and rock formations. The road is drivable year-round, but winter weather may cause restrictions. Mt. Lemmon is situated about 45 miles northeast of downtown Tucson. To reach the byway, take Tanque Verde Road east from Tucson to the Catalina Highway, which becomes Hitchcock Highway at the Forest Service boundary. From there, the highway leads to the top of Mount Lemmon. Mount Lemmon's peak, at 9,159 feet, is the highest point in the Santa Catalina Mountains and is one of the Sky Islands in Coronado National Forest.

Pima Air & Space Museum is a one of the world's largest non-government funded aerospace museums featuring about 400 historic aircraft, from a Wright Flyer to a 787 Dreamliner. The museum's campus spans a total of 127 acres, with nearly 400 aircraft displayed across 80 acres. The museum opened its doors to the public on May 8, 1976. It has also been the home to the Arizona Aviation Hall of Fame since 1991. The Arizona Aviation Hall of Fame is located in the Dorothy Finley Space Gallery and offers museum visitors a unique opportunity to acquaint themselves with noteworthy Arizona aviators. The museum encompasses six indoor exhibit hangars (three dedicated to WWII).

When rain is plentiful and the saguaro is fully hydrated it can weigh between 3200-4800 pounds. The park has a circular 1-way road fully paved with plenty of turn-offs to park and explore. San Xavier del Bac Mission is an active Roman Catholic Parish located about 10 miles south of downtown Tucson, on the Tohono O'odham Nation. Completed in 1797, this iconic mission church features baroque architecture & painted artwork. The wooden statue of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native American saint in the Roman Catholic Church, is part of the interior wall design. San Xavier del Bac Mission is both a pilgrimage church and a significant cultural site, hosting over 300,000 visitors annually.
Reid Park Zoo is a 24-acre zoo with daily activities, wide variety of animals & various attractions for all ages. The zoo features more than 500 animals. The Zoo was founded in 1965 by Gene Reid.
