1. Forestiere Underground Gardens

Forestiere Underground Gardens is an Extensive network of below-the-surface gardens, rooms, grottoes & courtyards, with seasonal guided tours. It was built by Baldassare Forestiere, an immigrant from Sicily, Italy. He built these subterranean structures over a period of 40 years from 1906 to his death in 1946. There are 65 rooms in the Forestiere Underground Gardens. It has a summer bedroom, a winter bedroom, a bath, a functional kitchen, a fish pond, and a parlor with a fireplace. There is also Unique fruit-producing trees, shrubs, and vines growing underground - some over 90 years old. Baldassare Forestiere has created this underground structure using only shovels, picks, and other hand tools. He created this catacomb-like compound, allegedly as a cool subterranean retreat from the region's soaring summer temperatures. It was added to National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) on 28 October 1977. Its a Great place to see some really cool nature stuff.

2. Fresno Chaffee Zoo

Fresno Chaffee Zoo is an assortment of wild animals, including public giraffe-feeding sessions & a stingray touch pool. Fresno Chaffee Zoo covers an area of 39 acres and houses over 190 species. Its attractions include Stingray Bay, Dino Dig, Valley Farm, Sea Lion Cove, African Adventure, and Ross Laird's Winged Wonders Bird Show. 3. Woodward Park

Woodward Park is a public park with paths through lakeside & Japanese gardens, plus barbecue pits, a dog park & a playground. Woodward Park is the biggest park in Fresno County spanning 300-acres. The Park was opened in 1968. It is named after the late Ralph Woodward who bequeathed a portion of his estate to provide a regional park and bird sanctuary in Fresno. It is located in the south bank of San Joaquin River. The 300-acre regional park has playgrounds, trails and recreation areas, ponds for fishing and a BMX course. The 5-acre Shinzen Japanese garden present inside the Woodward Park consists of sculptures, a koi pond, an arched bridge, and flowering shrubs and trees.

4. Fresno County Blossom Trail

Fresno County Blossom Trail is a nearly 70-mile circuit that passes through beautiful orchards, as well as cute historic towns, quaint fruit stands and quirky roadside attractions. There are plenty of festivals and special events along the way held in celebration of the blooming fruits, including the annual Kings River Blossom Trail Bike Ride. In February & March, this scenic drive is known for displays of blooming fruit trees & wildflowers. The Fresno County Blossom Trail showcases almond, citrus, apricot, nectarine, plum and apple trees.

Fresno Discovery Center is a Science center with hands-on exhibits including fossil digs, fishing & educational displays. It is a small science center located on 5.5 acres. Kearney Mansion Museum is the 1903 residence of ranch manager M. Theo Kearney. It consists of two buildings, a main residence and an adjoining servant’s quarter. The two buildings are designed in the French Renaissance style, simulated through the use of materials indigenous to the area and through the use of Victorian stock moldings, all built by workers employed by owner M. Theo. Kearney. It is the located in the 225-acre Kearney Park. This place is perfect for a family outing.
